Ranklance Product Purchase Terms & Conditions

Important: These Terms govern the purchase and use of Ranklance, the WordPress SEO and AEO plugin, including the free version on WordPress.org and the paid plans (the “Product”). Ranklance is built and sold by WisdmLabs (“we”, “us”). By purchasing or using the Product, you agree to these Terms.

Open-source notice (GPL). Ranklance is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL v2 or later). Your License Key governs access to updates, support and certain services; it does not limit your rights under the GPL to use the software you received.

1. Definitions

  • Annual License: a license that includes updates and support for 12 months from the purchase date.
  • License Key: used to verify your purchase and enable updates, support and paid features.
  • Site: a single WordPress installation where the Product is used.
  • Updates: new versions, enhancements, bug fixes and security patches.
  • Support: installation guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Plan: the paid tier you purchase. The number of Sites per License Key matches your Plan: Solo covers 1 Site, Professional up to 25 Sites, and Agency (when available) up to 100 Sites.

2. Licensing & Updates

2.1 Annual Licenses

  • Include updates and support for 12 months from the purchase date.
  • Annual Licenses are sold as a recurring subscription. Unless you cancel before renewal, your subscription auto-renews each year at the then-current renewal price.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account on plugins.wisdmlabs.com. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund past payments.
  • After expiry or cancellation, you may continue using the Product as-is under the GPL, but updates, support and paid features that depend on an active License Key stop unless you renew.
  • If you renew on a later date, the renewed term runs 12 months from the renewal date (no back-dating).

2.2 Renewal Price & Changes

  • Renewals are charged at the then-current price for your Plan at the time of renewal. Promotional pricing or discounts may change over time.
  • Taxes (for example GST or VAT) may be applied at checkout based on your location.

2.3 Delivery

  • The Product is delivered digitally. After successful payment, your License Key and download are available in your WisdmLabs account under My Account → View Licenses.

3. Support Services

3.1 What’s included

  • Help diagnosing and fixing Product defects.
  • Guidance on installation, basic configuration and updates.
  • Support for the current version and the previous minor release of the Product.

3.2 What’s not included

  • Customization (code changes, styling beyond Product options, custom features).
  • Site-specific issues caused by custom code, modified WordPress or WooCommerce core, or third-party plugins or themes.
  • Training, content setup, data entry, SEO consulting, or performance tuning not caused by a Product defect.
  • Support where the License Key is inactive or expired, or where your Product version is outside the supported window.

Note: If a reported issue is caused by a customization or a third-party conflict, we’ll share our findings and may offer paid assistance where feasible.

3.3 Channels & response

  • Free users can get help on the WordPress.org support forum. Paid Plans are supported by email at helpdesk@wisdmlabs.com or the form on the WisdmLabs support page.
  • Typical first response times are within business hours; response times may vary by volume and severity. Plans that include priority support follow the response targets shown on the pricing section.
  • Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (GMT +05:30), excluding public holidays.

3.4 Security patches

  • For supported versions, we aim to prioritize security fixes.

3.5 Customer access requirement

To provide effective support, you must grant us the necessary level of access to your website or server environment. Depending on the issue, this may include:

  • Administrator access to your WordPress site.
  • FTP/SFTP or hosting control panel access, where file-level troubleshooting is required.
  • Database access (for example via phpMyAdmin or Adminer), if needed to resolve critical issues.

Failure to provide adequate access may limit our ability to investigate or resolve your issue.

4. Compatibility Policy

  • We test the Product against supported versions of WordPress, PHP and major dependencies at the time of each release. Ranklance currently requires WordPress 6.8 or later and PHP 8.2 or later.
  • We cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party plugin or theme. Please contact us before purchase with specific integration questions.

5. AI Features, Third-Party Services & Results

  • Your approval. Ranklance’s AI agents propose changes and queue them for your review; nothing is applied to your live site until you approve it. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, so review each proposal before approving it. You are responsible for the changes you approve and for keeping backups of your site.
  • Third-party services. Some features rely on services you connect yourself, such as Anthropic, Google, Bing, Ahrefs and Semrush. Your use of them is governed by their terms, and any fees they charge (for example AI usage billed to your own API key) are yours to pay. We aren’t responsible for their availability or changes to their APIs.
  • No guarantee of results. Search engines and AI answer engines decide rankings and citations themselves. We don’t guarantee any specific ranking, traffic, citation or revenue outcome.
  • Acceptable use. Don’t use the Product to generate spam, infringe others’ rights, break search engine or AI provider policies, or bypass license checks.

6. Email Policy

By purchasing the Product, you consent to receive transactional and Product-related emails (order confirmations, license notices, update alerts, critical advisories and how-to resources). We will not send you marketing emails without your consent. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on data handling and your rights.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Annual Licenses auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account on plugins.wisdmlabs.com to stop future renewals.

We offer a fair 30-day refund window under the conditions below. To request a refund, email helpdesk@wisdmlabs.com with your order number and a clear description of the issue.

7.1 Eligible refunds (within 30 days of purchase)

  • The Product does not function as described on a supported environment, and the issue cannot be resolved after you consulted with support.
  • Duplicate or accidental purchases (unused License Keys).
  • The Product has critical technical issues that our support team is unable to resolve.
  • You were charged incorrectly (for example, a duplicate payment).

7.2 Not eligible

  • Incompatibility due to third-party plugins or themes not declared as supported.
  • Prerequisites not met (for example, unsupported WordPress or PHP versions).
  • Customization services once work has started.
  • Requests made after 30 days from the purchase date.
  • Change of mind after purchase.
  • Incompatibility due to server environment, PHP version, or other third-party plugins outside our control.
  • Discounts, promotions or renewals.
  • Failure to read the Product description, documentation or system requirements before purchase.

Note: We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partially used terms or for renewals, except where required by law.

7.3 Process & effects

  • Upon refund approval, your License Key will be deactivated and you must stop using and delete the refunded Product from your Sites.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method; bank or currency fees are not refundable. Processing times vary by payment provider.

8. Pricing, Taxes & Billing

  • Prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise and may change without notice.
  • Invoices and receipts are issued electronically.

9. Intellectual Property & License

  • The Product is licensed, not sold. The code is GPL; brand assets, trademarks, logos and non-code materials are owned by WisdmLabs.
  • You may not use the Ranklance or WisdmLabs names, logos or trademarks without prior written permission.

10. Warranty & Liability

  • The Product is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose).
  • To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Product will not exceed the amount you paid for the Product in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Term, Suspension & Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate access to updates, support and paid features for violations of these Terms or for suspected fraud or abuse. Your GPL rights to the code you already received are unaffected.

12. Changes to the Product or Terms

  • We may update the Product and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on our website or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Appendix A — License Timeline Example

Annual License: Buy on 15 March 2026 → updates and support through 14 March 2027. Renew later, on 1 October 2027 → updates and support through 30 September 2028.
